GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY is seeking a dedicated Firefighter/EMT for Botetourt County, VA. This role combines fire suppression, emergency medical care, and community safety outreach to the public.

Responsibilities include incident response, patient care, rescue operations, and coordination with volunteer EMS units. Requires EMT Intermediate/Paramedic and Firefighter I certifications, with on-call readiness as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 21 years of age or older required.
• Virginia EMT Intermediate or Paramedic required (or equivalent).
• NFPA 1001 Firefighter I or Firefighter II within 1 year of employment.
• Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (Class 2) required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fires, medical emergencies, specialized rescues and hazmat incidents.
• Operate fire apparatus and EMS vehicles; determine initial personnel and equipment needs.
• Provide patient care per EMS protocols and assist in rescue operations.
• Maintain equipment, facilities, and stations; perform custodial duties as needed.
• Engage with volunteer units and public safety agencies; deliver safety outreach.
