Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• NC Certification as a Firefighter NFPA 1001, 2013 or 2019 Edition.
• NC EMT Certification required.
• NC Emergency Vehicle Driver certification required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to alarms and participates in incident response including firefighting operations and EMS duties.
• Operates radio and communications equipment.
• Presents safety and prevention programs to the community.
• Performs maintenance and basic repairs on apparatus and equipment.
• Maintains certifications and training through ongoing education.
