The City of Riviera Beach is seeking a dedicated Firefighter to perform critical fire suppression and emergency medical services tasks. This role requires adherence to established safety standards and successful completion of various certifications. Ideal candidates will be team-oriented and committed to maintaining public safety standards. A commitment to a tobacco-free lifestyle is essential, and the application process includes various health screenings.
Summary
Under general supervision of the Fire Captain, perform routine, complex, and emergency tasks relating to fire suppression, fire prevention, and emergency medical services according to state, local, and federal standards.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma from an accredited education institution or GED (Education will be verified). Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Special Requirement:
All applicants must be non-users of tobacco (any form) for at least one (1) year prior to application, remain tobacco free during application process, and must retain tobacco free for the entire period of employment as a Firefighter with the City of Riviera Beach. Tobacco free means you have not used cigarettes, pipes, cigars, chewing tobacco, snuff, vapes or any other type of smoking or smokeless tobacco on or off duty during the tenure of their employment.
