The Remote Sensing Technician is responsible for collecting, processing, analyzing, and managing remotely sensed data. Technicians will work with various types of imagery and sensor data, ensuring data quality and contributing to the extraction of valuable information.

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform this job's essential functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Work is performed in a field setting. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate sensors, computers, keyboards, and mice. Use of a telephone headset will facilitate virtual communication via Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Employees are often required to sit for prolonged periods, handle objects or tools with their hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, speak, and hear. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
