MUST MEET ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA TO QUALIFY:

• 5 years of experience in the Firefighter and EMT field
• Advanced degree in EMT with 3 years of experience in the field

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Teach technical knowledge and skills related to the Firefighter and EMT career field.
• Provide instruction in the areas of work ethic and life skills which will lead to employment in the Firefighter and EMT career field
• Affiliation and involvement in the SkillsUSA youth organization and competitions.
• Coordinate work related/educational activities outside the school facility.
• Organizational, classroom management, lesson plan development, and lesson plan implementation skills are essential for success in this position.
• Ability to work effectively with youth in an educational setting.

SALARY:

Placement on the teachers' salary schedule will be based on education, work and teaching experience. The minimum starting salary will exceed $56,800 and is based on experience in the Firefighter and EMT field. The contract consists of 188 days for the first year and 184 days thereafter.
