Job summary

United Defense Tactical in Hingham, MA is seeking a skilled Firearms Instructor to join our team. You will provide firearms training to clients, conduct sessions on safety, handling, and shooting techniques, and lead both live-fire and simulator-based instruction at our range.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a firearms instructor or law enforcement officer, excellent communication, and strong knowledge of firearm safety. Outdoor range work and certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as firearms instructor or law enforcement officer.
• Ability to learn and adhere to extensive curricula.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of firearm safety and handling protocols.
• Familiarity with various firearms and their operation.

Responsibilities

• Instruct members using UDT's threat-based reality simulator.
• Teach force-on-force and self-defense training courses.
• Lead firearms training sessions for individuals and groups, including safety and handling.
• Teach proper firearm safety rules and protocols for participant awareness.
• Maintain training equipment and facility.
• Monitor and maintain a safe range environment during training.
• Evaluate participants and provide feedback to improve skills.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and training techniques.
