Coastal Country in Mount Vernon, WA seeks a firearm sales associate responsible for conducting firearm transactions in compliance with all laws and company policies, delivering high-quality customer service, and maintaining store standards.

The role covers greeting customers, assisting with product location, answering questions, and performing POS transactions while ensuring safety and compliance with background checks and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of proper firearms handling skills.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments and to shift priorities accordingly.
• Familiar with how to operate a computer system and email.
• Preferably familiar with standard retail concepts and practices.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to comply with firearm and ammunition handling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge every customer, answer questions, and help locate products.
• Explicit knowledge of Gun Store Master and background check processes.
• Complete all firearm transfers in accordance with policy and laws.
• Handle firearms safely and correctly process each purchase transaction.
• Answer incoming phone calls and maintain radio communication.
• Maintain knowledge of products and promotions; assist in merchandising and housekeeping.
• Help in other departments when needed.
