Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; firearms safety training is a plus.
• Previous experience in firearms sales or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding firearms sales and transfers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage customers.
• Ability to listen, ask relevant questions, and provide clear responses.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfort with using computer systems for transactions and record-keeping.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create a welcoming atmosphere in the department.
• Engage customers to understand needs and budget constraints.
• Provide expert guidance and unbiased product recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with firearms laws and regulations.
• Complete firearm compliance training and follow SOP.
• Assist customers in selecting ammunition, accessories, and related products.
• Maintain organized firearms displays with accurate labeling and pricing.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Stay updated on firearm trends, models, and industry news.
• Listen to customer concerns and provide appropriate resolutions or escalate as needed.
• Develop long-term customer relationships to generate repeat business.
• Demonstrate product features, conduct demonstrations, and explain specs.
• Utilize upselling and cross-selling to maximize sales.
• Promote exclusive offers and the RK loyalty program.
• Handle special orders, operate the POS, and resolve returns.
• Contribute to visual merchandising and maintain a clean sales floor.
• Participate in cross-training across departments and ongoing trainings.
• Provide friendly and proactive support to customers and colleagues.
