Job summary

D&B Supply is seeking a motivated team member for the gun counter, primarily assisting in the sporting goods department while supporting the whole store. Responsibilities include selling firearms and related items, processing background checks, stocking shelves, and providing excellent customer service.

Candidates should have knowledge of firearms, hunting and outdoor activities, and be able to pass a thorough background check.

Qualifications

• Experience with firearms, shooting, scopes, ammo, reloading and accessories.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to process firearm background checks and related forms.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in transactions.

Responsibilities

• Sell merchandise and advise customers on features and benefits in store and over the phone.
• Demonstrate product features and accessories to customers.
• Provide product knowledge and suggest alternatives or add-ons.
• Verify information for firearm sales background checks.
• Use ATF, FBI, and state systems when appropriate.
• Manage department inventory and display merchandise per policy.
• Answer phones and handle inquiries.
• Maintain general floor cleanliness and stock handling.
