Requirements include High School diploma or GED, Associate degree preferred, six years fire service experience, Florida Driver License, Florida certifications Firefighter II, Fire Instructor I, Live Fire Instructor I;

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• Six years fire service experience.
• Valid Florida Driver License within 30 days.
• State of Florida certifications: Firefighter II, Fire Instructor I, Live Fire Instructor I; Fire Officer I/II preferred.
• Ability to obtain FEMA NIMS IS-100.c/IS-200.c/IS-700.b/IS-800.d within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Drives county vehicle and adheres to safety policies.
• Presents practical and classroom instruction.
• Performs routine maintenance on equipment.
• Maintains training documentation.
• Oversees live burn operations and IDLH training.
• Maintains control of students and ensures safety.
• Reviews written tests and assignments.
