Job summary

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking a Fire Instructor (adjunct) to plan, prepare, deliver, and evaluate lesson plans in the fire field, including Firefighter I & II classes. The instructor will engage students with diverse learning styles and assess outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Fire Service Instructor with at least one year of experience.
  • Experience delivering Firefighter I & II classes.

  • Actively engage students and provide prompt, respectful feedback.
  • Communicate and follow the course syllabus per directions and guidance.

  • Meet deadlines and maintain accurate class and employee records.
  • Ensure laboratories have required supplies and safe equipment operation.
  • Foster a positive, professional environment among students, faculty, and staff.
