Job summary

Total Safety is seeking a Fire Technician to provide service, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire equipment, including extinguishers, lifesaving equipment, and detection systems, at customer sites and industrial facilities.

The position requires accurate documentation, safety-conscious work practices, and collaboration within a team in a variety of indoor/outdoor environments. Proficiency with PPE and adherence to OSHA and NFPA standards are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of field experience in fire protection or related industry.
• Ability to operate electronic safety equipment and understand fire systems.
• Ability to test and troubleshoot electronic safety equipment per manufacturer specs.
• Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA, and CFR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform shop or field inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire equipment.
• Complete inspection/repair documentation and obtain customer signatures for invoicing.
• Conduct visual inspections and functional tests; report deficiencies and recommendations.
• Prepare pre-job, job update, and post-job briefs.
