Account Manager - Fire Protection Sales

JOB SUMMARY

The Account Manager will focus on closing the sale of ORR Protection's fire protection services, systems, and solutions to new and existing clients in the Annapolis, MD, and surrounding market area. This remote, work-from-home position involves identifying, pursuing, qualifying, and closing potential clients while providing cost-effective solutions. Ideal candidates will have experience in fire protection, strong prospecting and networking skills, a proven ability to close sales, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Embodies the company's mission to provide protection for people, property, and the environment.
  • Identifies prospects in Data Center, Industrial, Telecom, Power Generation, and Manufacturing industries.
  • Generates and follows up on leads, creating interest in ORR's offerings.
  • Interacts with decision-makers at all levels to identify needs and market opportunities.
  • Leads prospects through the sales cycle.
  • Reviews proposals and contracts as needed.
  • Negotiates and closes sales with varying contract lengths and fees.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of sales experience in fire alarm/suppression or related industries required, with a track record of booking $2-$3 million annually.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM preferred.
  • Successful in consultative sales roles.
  • NICET certification preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of Fire Alarm and Special Hazards Suppression Systems.
  • Ability to identify leads and close sales.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with CRM systems.
  • Strong time management and budgeting skills.
