Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field technician to service portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems, and suppression gas systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot, and install systems from manufacturers like Simplex and ANSUL, while managing daily service calls and customer activity.

What you will do:

• Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems in addition to other related building system products at customer sites.

• Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL.

• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs,schematics,and operational product manuals.

• Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products.

• You will work with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards.

How you will do it:

• Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

• Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.

• Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements.

PayRange: $25 - $27 hourly ratedeterminedby the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
