Job summary

State Fire Idaho is seeking a motivated Fire Suppression Installer & Fire Extinguisher/Suppression Service Technician to join our team in Pocatello, ID. You will work on portable extinguishers, suppression systems for kitchens and automotive/vehicle applications, and perform inspections to NFPA standards.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a motivated and mechanically inclined Fire Suppression Installer & Fire Extinguisher/Suppression Service Technician to join our team in Pocatello, ID. This role covers a variety of servicing and installation tasks, from hand portable fire extinguishers to commercial kitchen suppression systems, automotive paint booths, and vehicle suppression systems (mining).

What You’ll Do

• Inspect, service, and recharge all types of portable fire extinguishers
• Test, maintain, and repair suppression systems for:
• Commercial kitchens
• Automotive paint booths
• Vehicle suppression systems
• Complete inspections to NFPA standards
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and customer documentation
• Provide dependable service that reflects State Fire Idaho’s commitment to safety and quality
