Job summary

The DC Army National Guard seeks a Fire Support Specialist to join an elite field artillery team. You will gather and relay target intelligence to artillery units and learn highly valued technical skills for civilian careers.

As you advance, you may supervise, train others, and help prepare fire support plans while expanding your expertise in communications and targeting calculations. Training is provided with pay during service.

Qualifications

• Must enlist in Army National Guard and meet eligibility requirements.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old and have a HS diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Provide target acquisition data and relay to artillery units.
• Operate communications gear and laser range finders; assist in fire support plans.
• Compute target locations and support observer posts.
