Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain sprinkler systems and related piping. The role requires reading blueprints, installing valves, and ensuring equipment is kept in good condition.

Roofed with regional/local travel, the candidate should have a valid license, 3–5 years of experience, and the ability to work alone or in a team while following safety policies. Training and certifications are supported.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Advanced technical school training or related work experience preferred.
• Current Fire Sprinkler License, required.

Responsibilities

• Install pipe systems and valves.
• Cut, thread, assemble and bond piping and tubes per specifications.
• Modify, clean and maintain pipe systems, units and fittings.
• Remove and replace worn components.
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.
• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.
• Mentor apprentices and helpers on proper installation techniques.
• Maintain company vehicle per policy.
• Other duties may be assigned.
