Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking Fire Sprinkler Inspectors to test and document fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA standards at customer sites.

You will perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance on water-based sprinkler systems while meeting quality expectations. Requirements include 3–5 years of sprinkler experience, NICET II certification, ability to read blueprints and manuals, and the capacity to lift 50–70 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience with sprinkler systems.
• NICET II Certification required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Able to read and interpret technical and parts manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Must follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to carry/move equipment weighing 50–70 lbs.
• Must work on lifts and ladders.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record per company requirements.
• Must participate in scheduled after-hours on-call rotation.
• Able to pass pre-employment background and drug test.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance on water-based or sprinkler systems.
• Meet customer expectations while performing quality inspections.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding via laptops or hard copy.
• Follow a structured inspection schedule and archive documentation.
• Complete assigned inspections on time and perform other duties as assigned.
