Job summary

Marmic Fire & Safety Co. is seeking a skilled Sprinkler Fitter in Tulsa to install, test, and repair fire suppression systems. You will read blueprints, cut and weld pipes, and ensure compliance with NFPA and plumbing codes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sprinkler Fitter or related field.
• Valid Sprinkler Fitter license or certification, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Proficiency in installing, testing, and maintaining sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge of fire protection systems, plumbing, and pipefitting techniques.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and materials weighing over 50 lbs.
• Capable of working in confined spaces and elevated areas.
• Familiarity with tools used in sprinkler fitting: pipe cutters, threaders, wrenches.
• Understanding of local, state, and national fire codes and regulations.
• Ability to work safely and independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test sprinkler systems and perform NFPA inspections.
• Select pipe sizes, measure, cut, thread, assemble, and weld pipes.
• Layout drawings of piping systems from blueprints.
• Clean and modify sprinkler systems.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Lift heavy loads and work in confined or elevated spaces.
• Follow NFPA and plumbing codes and standards.
