Job summary

Marmic Fire & Safety Co. is seeking an experienced Sprinkler Fitter to install, inspect, and repair sprinkler systems in commercial and residential settings.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of NFPA and plumbing codes, and the ability to work safely in confined spaces and at heights. The successful candidate will have 3+ years in sprinkler fitting, a valid license or certification, and the ability to lift heavy loads while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sprinkler Fitter or related field.
• Valid Sprinkler Fitter license or certification, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Proficiency in installing, testing, and maintaining sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge of fire protection systems, plumbing, and pipefitting techniques.
• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing over 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test sprinkler systems and perform NFPA inspections and testing.
• Select pipe sizes and materials, cut and thread, and assemble joints for sprinkler systems.
• Layout piping according to blueprints and specs.
• Maintain and modify sprinkler systems as needed.
• Troubleshoot system issues and ensure safety compliance.
• Work in varying conditions, including confined spaces and heights.
• Use tools and equipment for pipe fitting and installation.
