Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician to inspect, test, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and occupant safety. You will work with clients and regulators to uphold system integrity.

Pay ranges from $25-$38 per hour with a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid in two installments after 30 and 90 days. Benefits are provided per company policy and eligibility guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in fire alarm systems or related field preferred.
• Solid understanding of fire protection codes, standards, and regulations, including NFPA 13, NFPA 25.
• NICET certifications strongly preferred.
• VA Backflow DPOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect wet, dry and pre-action fire sprinkler systems to NFPA 25 standards.
• Prepare detailed inspection and test reports.
• Test and evaluate system components such as heads, valves, piping, pumps and controls.
• Inspect piping and fittings for corrosion, leaks or damage; recommend repairs.
• Perform maintenance like replacing damaged parts, cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting settings.
• Respond to service calls and diagnose issues to restore functionality.
• Document all actions and material usage in Service Trade platform.
