Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Sprinkler Service Technician to independently service, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems. The role requires the ability to diagnose deficiencies, perform repairs, and complete documentation with minimal supervision.

The position typically involves travel to job sites, adherence to NFPA standards, and collaboration with customers and team members. NICET Level I or higher is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required for driving to

This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision. The technician may be considered at a Journeyman level and is expected to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Independently perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems.Diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective repairs.Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.Accurately and timely complete required documentation and service reports.Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.Follow all safety procedures and company policies.Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.Travel to job sites as required.Other duties as assigned by management.Education/Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of one year of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a sprinkler apprentice or sprinkler technician.NICET Level I or above preferred.Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and service procedures.Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).Other Duties:Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.Performs other duties assigned by management.Physical Requirements:Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.Ability to lift 50+ pounds.Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.Pay:$18 to $35 depending on certifications and experience.Weekly pay.Benefits and Perks:Excellent payMedical, dental, visionCompany paid life insuranceCompany paid short-term disability401K with employer matchPaid vacation and company holidaysTraining and Career DevelopmentCompany vehicle (if job applicable)Immediate qualification for the ALL In Ownership Plan for all eligible full-time employeesOur Commitment:Pye-Barker is built on four core values – customer-bias, trust, respect, and commitment – that serve as the north star for how we conduct business within our community and across our branches.
