Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Sprinkler Service Technician to independently perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems. You will diagnose deficiencies, use hand tools and testing equipment, and ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.

Responsibilities include documenting reports, communicating with customers, and supporting entry-level staff. A high school diploma and 3+ years in the field are required; NICET I+ is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and service procedures.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

The Sprinkler Service Technician independently performs service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems. This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision. The technician may be considered at a Journeyman level and is expected to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
