Job summary

Thomas Mechanical & Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Project Manager in Laurens, SC to lead commercial/industrial sprinkler projects on site from preconstruction through closeout. You will coordinate field teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to meet timelines, budgets, and safety standards.

Requires 5+ years in project management for fire protection, NFPA knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to read drawings and manage multiple projects concurrently.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and applicable local codes.
• Understanding of wet/dry/pre-action systems and fire pumps.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specs.
• Experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CMS tools including Bluebeam.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage fire sprinkler projects from start to closeout.
• Review contracts, specs, and drawings to define scope and issues.
• Develop schedules and coordinate manpower, materials, and subs.
• Prepare budgets, monitor labor, costs, and profitability.
• Lead kickoff meetings and maintain site communications.
• Attend owner/contractor meetings and track progress.
• Process RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate inspections with AHJ and owners; ensure NFPA compliance.
• Maintain complete project docs and ensure high client satisfaction.
