Job summary

Johnson Controls in Aurora, CO is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Project Manager to lead fire protection projects from inception through completion. You will own project outcomes, coordinate with design, procurement, and field teams, and ensure delivery on schedule and within budget.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and experience in the fire protection industry; familiarity with MS Office and scheduling tools is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience as a project manager or in design work within the fire protection industry.
• Ability to work in a matrix structure and resolve conflict while managing multiple complex projects.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned projects and drive results through every phase of delivery.
• Review project contracts, scope of delivery, schedule milestones, and execution requirements.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and field teams to build and maintain a comprehensive project plan.
• Develop pipe-on-job dates and manage material, labor, and subcontractor readiness.
• Track scope changes, document deviations, and submit RFI/COR documentation to capture out-of-scope work.
