Job summary

Century Fire Protection seeks an entry-level helper to join our Charlotte, NC team. This hands-on role involves assisting with fire sprinkler installation, material handling, and basic pipe work under supervision.

You will support flushing, testing, startup, and site safety while learning a skilled trade in a growing company. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 0–2 years of experience, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 0–2 years of experience preferred.
• Construction or mechanical experience is a plus.
• Basic computer and email skills required.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist foremen and fitters with sprinkler system installation.
• Carry, stage, and organize pipe, fittings, materials, and tools.
• Cut, thread, and prepare pipe under supervision.
• Assist with pipe hanging, hangers, and sprinkler head installation.
• Support flushing, pressure testing, and system startup.
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow OSHA requirements and safety policies.
• Participate in safety meetings and hands-on training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
