Job summary

Century Fire Protection in Hickory, NC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Install Helper to assist Foremen and Fitters on construction and retrofit projects. This is an entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience while learning fire sprinkler installation, safety practices, and industry standards.

You will carry, cut, and install pipe, learn with a team, and gain experience while following OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• 0–2 years of experience
• Construction or mechanical experience is a plus
• Basic computer and email skills
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Assist Foremen and Fitters with fire sprinkler system installation.
• Carry, stage, and organize pipe, fittings, materials, and tools.
• Cut, thread, and prepare pipe under supervision.
• Assist with pipe hanging, hangers, and sprinkler head installation.
• Support flushing, pressure testing, and system startup.
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow OSHA requirements and company safety policies.
• Participate in safety meetings and hands-on training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
