Century Fire Protection in Hickory, NC is hiring a Fire Sprinkler Install Helper. This entry-level role supports foremen and fitters on construction and retrofit projects, learning fire sprinkler installation, safety practices, and industry standards.

You’ll gain hands-on experience, work as part of a team, and grow toward more advanced roles in a company known as a leading Southeast fire protection provider.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 0–2 years of experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
• Basic computer and email skills.
• Construction or mechanical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Foremen and Fitters with fire sprinkler system installation.
• Carry, stage, and organize pipe, fittings, materials, and tools.
• Cut, thread, and prepare pipe under supervision.
• Assist with pipe hanging, hangers, and sprinkler head installation.
• Support flushing, pressure testing, and system startup.
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow OSHA requirements and company safety policies.
• Participate in safety meetings and hands-on training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
