Job summary

Chesapeake Fire Protection in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Install Helper to support our Foremen and Fitters on construction and retrofit projects. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in fire sprinkler installation, safety practices, and industry standards.

You’ll gain exposure to pipe cutting, threading, mounting, and system start-up while following OSHA safety policies and working as part of a cooperative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Construction or mechanical experience is a plus.
• Basic computer and email skills.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Foremen and Fitters with fire sprinkler system installation.
• Carry, stage, and organize pipe, fittings, materials, and tools.
• Cut, thread, and prepare pipe under supervision.
• Assist with pipe hanging, hangers, and sprinkler head installation.
• Support flushing, pressure testing, and system startup.
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow OSHA requirements and company safety policies.
• Participate in safety meetings and hands-on training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do
