Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking an experienced technician to independently install fire sprinkler systems and interpret blueprints for ongoing projects. The role requires attention to NFPA standards, accuracy in reporting, and effective communication with customers and team members.

You will guide entry-level technicians and apprentices while maintaining safety and office procedures, with travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in fire and life safety as a technician.
• NICET Level II or above preferred.
• Clean driving record and active driver’s license if driving is required.
• Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler installation practices and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Install fire sprinkler systems per project specs.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation.
• Use hand tools and installation equipment to complete tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Complete installation reports accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Guide and support entry-level technicians and apprentices.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Qualifications

Physical Requirements
