Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Sprinkler Install Sr Technician to independently install fire sprinkler systems on multiple sites. You will interpret blueprints, use hand tools, and ensure NFPA and local code compliance while maintaining thorough documentation.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in fire and life safety, NICET II+ preferred, and a valid driver’s license. The role may involve travel and mentoring entry-level staff, with strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician.
• Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler installation practices and applicable codes.
• NICET Level II or above preferred.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver's license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Independently perform installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
• Use hand tools and installation equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Complete required documentation and installation reports accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Guide and support entry-level technicians and apprentices.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

The Sprinkler Install Sr Technician is responsible for independently performing installation of fire sprinkler systems. This position demonstrates strong technical competency, may hold applicable licenses, and is capable of completing jobs independently. The Senior Technician may guide or support entry-level employees and contributes to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

• Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.

• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
