Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking an experienced installer to independently install fire sprinkler systems and interpret blueprints and specifications. You will work with hand tools and installation equipment while ensuring NFPA standards and local codes are followed.

The role involves documenting installation reports, communicating with customers and team members, and occasional travel to job sites. Prior NICET and driving credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler system installation practices.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Independently perform installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
• Use hand tools and installation equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Accurately and timely complete required documentation and installation reports.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
