Job summary

Century Fire Protection Knoxville, Powell, TN is seeking a motivated Fire Sprinkler Inspector Trainee to learn the fire protection industry. You will work alongside experienced inspectors to gain hands-on experience and develop the skills needed to grow into a fully qualified inspector.

You will assist with inspections and testing of sprinkler systems, document results, and support scheduling and customer communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training in fire protection, mechanical systems, or construction is a plus.
• Willingness to pursue NICET certifications.
• Basic MS Word and Excel skills required.
• Comfortable using mobile inspection and digital reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems
• Learn to test valves, alarms, gauges, water flow devices, and other components
• Learn NFPA inspection procedures and documentation requirements
• Document inspection results, deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions
• Maintain inspection tools, equipment, and service vehicles
• Assist with customer communication and scheduling needs
• Follow company and OSHA safety requirements
• Participate in ongoing training and certification programs
