Job summary

Century Fire Protection in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Inspector Trainee to learn the fire protection trade while working with seasoned inspectors on inspections, testing, and maintenance of sprinkler systems. You will gain practical knowledge of NFPA inspection procedures, document results, and support scheduling and customer communication as you progress toward NICET certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Construction, mechanical, or fire protection experience is a plus.
• Technical training in fire protection, mechanical systems, or construction is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and pursue NICET certifications.
• Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Comfortable using mobile inspection and digital reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
• Learn to test valves, alarms, gauges, water flow devices, and other components.
• Learn NFPA inspection procedures and documentation requirements.
• Document inspection results, deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection tools, equipment, and service vehicles.

We’re looking for a motivated Fire Sprinkler Inspector Trainee ready to learn the fire protection industry. You’ll work alongside experienced inspectors, gain hands‑on experience, and build the skills needed to grow into a successful Fire Sprinkler Inspector.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems
• Learn to test valves, alarms, gauges, water flow devices, and other components
