Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector in Knoxville, TN to inspect, test, and service fire sprinkler systems, identify deficiencies, and prepare detailed reports. This role requires 2–3 years of field experience, knowledge of NFPA codes, and clean driving record.

NICET II/III and backflow certifications are preferred. Competitive benefits and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–3 years of experience inspecting fire sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards for inspection, testing and installation.
• NICET II or III certification preferred.
• Backflow certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, servicing, installation, and preventative maintenance of water-based and sprinkler systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and fire codes.
• Test systems for leaks using air and liquid pressure equipment.
• Identify deficiencies and document findings in detailed service reports.
• Coordinate inspection deficiencies with the service needed to correct them.
• Communicate with the Service Manager and Inspections Coordinator regarding job status, delays, and requirements.
• Help ensure customers receive work according to the proposed scope.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
