Davis-Ulmer Family of Companies’ Eastern Fire division in Auburn, ME seeks a Fire Sprinkler Inspector Trainee to learn inspection, testing, and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems in line with NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years sprinkler installation or service experience preferred.
• Willing to become a NEWWA backflow tester.
• Willing to work towards NICET certification in Testing of Water-Based Systems.
• Willing to gain working knowledge of NFPA 25 and related codes and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Learn inspection, testing, and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems per NFPA 25 and applicable codes.
• Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports for customers.
• Identify system deficiencies and communicate recommended corrective actions.
• Interact professionally with customers, building owners, and AHJs.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good working order.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures on every job site.
