Job summary

Eastern Fire Group is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Inspector in Auburn, ME. Due to continued growth, Eastern Fire Group is currently looking to add aFire Sprinkler Inspector to our team in Auburn, ME. We are looking for someone who appreciates working with a variety of customers, both internal and external, where the environment is friendly and where there are excellent opportunities to development and advance.

As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you will:
  • Ensure customers are serviced at the highest level of satisfaction.
  • Complete inspections in timely manner and ensure the customer receives the work per proposed scope.
  • Utilize an online scheduling calendar to receive scheduled tasks, customer locations, and maintain other company documents (timesheets, safety audits, etc).
  • Maintain positive customer relationships and review inspection results with customer.
  • Turn in required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies and company vehicle in good working order.
  • Study and learn NFPA standards for the inspection and testing of fire protection systems.
  • Stay current with code requirements, industry changes, and obtain NICET certifications.
  • Complete in-house and manufacturer training program on fire protection system inspections.
  • Obtain OSHA 10 certification through company safety program.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by department manager.
Qualifications:
  • Able to work with minimal supervision (after training period is completed)

Educations and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in fire sprinkler inspection testing, maintenance and installation is required.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
  • Valid state Driver’s License required.
  • Holds a current Maine State Sprinkler Inspector's License
  • If do not already possess a Maine Inspector License, a NICET Level II Water-Based Systems Inspection Certification is required
  • If has NICET Level II certification or at least two years of relevant experience, Company may assist in obtaining a Maine State Sprinkler Inspector's License.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Industrial, Commercial, & Residential building environment with moderate to high noise levels, and comfort with working at heights as required.
  • Mostly a physical demanding role. The majority of the daily demand is standing and walking buildings and stairs, some ladder work may be required.
  • May need to lift objects up to 50 pounds
  • Travel to multiple job sites in a day, some overnight travel may be required with plenty of notice prior.
  • Ability to be on the phone and computer consistently throughout the day
