Job summary

International Fire Protection, based in Alabama, is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Inspector for our Mobile, AL branch. You will test and inspect fire/life safety systems, document results, and assist in selling IFP services for deficiencies identified.

Requirements include at least 1 year of trade experience, strong verbal/written communication, mechanical and math aptitude, and solid computer skills. NICET certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of trade experience required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Mechanical & math aptitude.
• Exceptional computer skills.
• NICET Certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and inspections of life safety systems including fire sprinklers and backflow preventers.
• Provide accurate inspection reports with documentation of improvements and deficiencies.
• Coordinate between inspection deficiencies and servicing required to correct findings.
• Maintain equipment, supplies and company vehicle in good working order.
• Stay current with NFPA standards and code requirements; obtain NICET certifications.
• Utilize online scheduling calendar and interface with Inspection Coordinator.
• Maintain positive customer relationships and review inspection results with customers.
• Turn in required paperwork in a timely manner.
