Job summary

International Fire Protection (IFP) is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Inspector to perform testing and inspection of fire and life safety systems, including sprinklers and backflow preventers. The role includes accurate reporting, documentation, and assisting in selling IFP services for identified deficiencies.

The ideal candidate will have NICET certification, 2+ years of trade experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with the inspection team and customers.

Qualifications

  • Any trade experience is preferred; at least 2 years' trade experience required.
  • NICET Certification is required.
  • Good verbal / written communication and customer service skills.
  • Mechanical & math aptitude.
  • Exceptional computer skills, professional and organized.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, testing and services of life safety product lines.
  • Thoroughly complete inspections in a timely manner and coordinate with the Inspection Coordinator.
  • Willing to coordinate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies and company vehicle in good working order.
  • Study and learn NFPA standards for inspection and testing of fire protection systems.
  • Stay current with code requirements and obtain NICET certifications.
  • Turn in required paperwork promptly.
