Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Inspector/Technician in Chantilly, VA to inspect, test, and maintain Wet, Dry, Pre-Action and Deluge sprinkler systems in compliance with NFPA standards and state regulations.

The role requires strong documentation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with coworkers, customers, and authorities having jurisdiction. A valid driver's license and the ability to lift 40 pounds are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of field experience with Wet, Dry, Pre-Action and Deluge Sprinkler systems.
• Functional knowledge of Wet and Dry Sprinkler Systems.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to stand or climb stairs and ladders for a long period of time.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills and good organizational skills.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment security, drug and background check.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test and maintain/repair Wet, Dry, Pre-Action and Deluge Sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA and State regulations.
• Document deficiencies found during inspections with accuracy and clarity.
• Communicate effectively with employees, employers, customers, and authorities having jurisdiction.
