Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Lexington, KY is hiring a building sprinkler inspector responsible for performing inspections, testing panels and devices, recording results, and generating Sprinkler Inspection Reports and Certificates. You will support the Lead Inspector and Inspection Manager, ensuring timely, accurate data collection and documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a Kentucky fire sprinkler inspector license, NFPA standards knowledge, and NICET

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is acceptable with experience.
• KY fire sprinkler inspector license is required.
• NICET certifications are desirable/required for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Perform building sprinkler inspections, test devices and control panels, and record results.
• Generate Sprinkler Inspection Reports, Quick Reports, and Inspection Certificates.
• Assist Lead Inspector/Inspection Manager with data collection and paperwork.
• Attend monthly team meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Duties include assisting both the Lead Inspector and/or Inspection Manager in collecting data and generating any necessary paperwork (Sprinkler Inspection Reports, Quick Reports, and Inspection Certificates).Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Ensure that all inspections are completed on a timely basis and that inspections are done accurately and thoroughly.Testing of all building sprinkler control panels, devices, and functions of the sprinkler system and entering the test results into the Palm handheld device.Upon completion of an inspection download the information and generate a completed Sprinkler Inspection Report.Participate in monthly team meetings.Perform other duties assigned by management.Education/Qualification:High School diploma or equivalent is acceptable with acceptable experience.At least years' experience as a commercial fire sprinkler inspector.Must have a KY fire sprinkler inspector license.Study and learn NFPA standards for the inspection and testing of fire protection systems. Stay current with code requirements, and industry changes, and obtain NICET certificationsMust be able to clear MVR check to drive company vehicleOther Duties:Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.Performs other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements:Industrial, Commercial, & Residential building environment with moderate to high noise levels, and comfort with working at heightsMostly a physically demanding role.
