Join to apply for the Fire Sprinkler Inspector role at Century Fire Protection

Responsible for testing and inspection of fire sprinkler systems, identifying deficiencies, troubleshooting existing conditions, reading and interpreting blueprints and manuals based on experience level, and writing detailed reports on inspection deficiencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installation, and preventative maintenance of water-based and sprinkler systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and fire codes.
• Conduct system leak tests using air and liquid pressure equipment.
• Complete service documentation detailing findings.
• Coordinate between inspection deficiencies and necessary service corrections.
• Communicate with Service Manager and/or Inspections Coordinator regarding inspection or project delays, requirements, and overall job status to ensure customer satisfaction.

Additional Requirements

Pre-employment drug screening, clean MVR, and availability for overtime and weekends may be required.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED; 2-3 years of experience inspecting fire sprinkler systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards; NICET II or III Certification preferred. Backflow Certification is a plus.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
