Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inspection/testing of water-based systems.
  • Ability to obtain North Carolina Inspector license.

Job Summary:

This position is for a customer service-oriented Fire Sprinkler Inspector with at least 5 years of experience in water-based fire protection systems. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, communicative, and capable of providing detailed inspection reports documenting NFPA deficiencies. Building positive relationships with customers is essential.

This role is based out of our Charlotte district office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections, testing, maintenance, and services of fire sprinkler, standpipe, and fire pump systems in compliance with NFPA 25, with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate daily with the Manager or Schedule Coordinator regarding inspections, project delays, requirements, and status updates.
  • Conduct service calls and perform repairs as assigned.
  • Perform minor repairs, upfits, and internal pipe inspections as directed.
  • Follow all safety protocols of the company.
  • Maintain assigned vehicle in good condition.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inspection, testing, maintenance, and service of water-based systems.
  • Ability to obtain a North Carolina Inspector license and both North and South Carolina backflow preventer certifications within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to coordinate between inspection deficiencies and necessary service repairs.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with managers, customers, and authorities.
  • Proficient in documentation and administrative tasks, including MS Office; experience with Service Trade and Inspect Point preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and compliance with company driving requirements.
  • Successful completion of drug testing and background screening; MVR checks required for driving roles.
