The Grunau Company in Auburn, ME, is looking for a Field Sales Representative to bolster Fire Alarm inspections. This role involves harnessing an established customer base and acquiring new clients in hospitality and education. Strong hunter mentality required to build customer relationships.
Compensation includes competitive salary between $65,000 - $80,000 plus bonuses, supported by benefits including profit sharing and a company vehicle. Candidates must possess sales experience and be self-directed in territory management.
Tired of selling something people don't actually need?
Fire Alarm inspections aren't “nice to have” — they're mandated by Federal, State and Local code, recur each year, and are essential to keeping buildings and the people inside them safe. That means no economic-cycle whiplash, no discretionary-spend objections, and no quarter where your pipeline evaporates because a CFO got nervous.
If you're a hunter who wants to build a durable book of business — the kind that compounds for years instead of resetting every January — read on.
You'll grow Eastern Fire's fire alarm and monitoring business through their established customer base and hunt new Fire Alarm logos in the hospitality and private education markets, focused on the Auburn/Portland and Bangor corridors. This is a field-based, relationship-driven hunting seat - cross-selling, site surveys, target account development, and long-term partnerships built on value.
It is not a cold call only, all day on the phone sales job. We win on trust, expertise, and showing up - not on pressure.
Prior fire & life safety experience is a plus but not required. We'll teach you the technical side. What we can't teach is work ethic, attention to detail, and genuine curiosity about your customer's business - that part is on you.
The annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, dependent on experience and qualifications, plus bonuses as outlined above.
If you have a passion for protecting what the people of Maine value most — and you're ready to build something that lasts - we'd like to meet you.
