Job summary

Thorpe Design, Inc. is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Installer/Foreman for a full-time, on-site role in Las Vegas, NV. You will install, assemble, and test sprinkler systems per plans, supervising a small crew and coordinating with project managers, contractors, and inspectors.

The position requires reading blueprints, knowledge of NFPA codes, and a commitment to safety. Prior foreman experience and relevant licenses are a plus, with a focus on on-site reliability and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire sprinkler installation, piping layout, and basic mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications; familiarity with NFPA standards and local fire codes is beneficial.
• Strong leadership and crew supervision skills, including task delegation, time management, and coordination with other trades on-site.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, equipment handling, and adherence to OSHA and company safety practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, contractors, and inspectors.
• Reliable transportation, punctuality, and the ability to work full-time on-site in varying weather and physical conditions (lifting, climbing, working overhead).
• Prior Foreman or lead installer experience and relevant certifications or licenses in fire protection or plumbing are a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in construction trades or fire protection is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and test fire sprinkler systems in residential and commercial projects according to plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, coordinate materials and tools, and oversee a small crew to ensure on-schedule work.
• Communicate with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors; document project progress and resolve on-site issues.
• Assist with troubleshooting, repairs, and system adjustments as needed.
• Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety regulations; support training for newer team members.
