Job summary

Impact Fire Services, LLC seeks motivated individuals to join our College Station office as Apprentices in fire protection. You will assist with installation, maintenance, inspection, and retrofit of fire sprinkler systems, under guidance from seasoned professionals in a fast-growing company.

Applicants should have basic mechanical knowledge, be able to understand NFPA codes, and be willing to travel locally up to ~50%. NICET certification is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

  • NICET certification preferred but not required.
  • General mechanical knowledge is expected.
  • Experience in Fire Protection Installation or Design is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Understand design and layout of Fire Sprinkler Systems.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations and field surveys.
  • Coordinate installation between trades and manage budgets.

This position is located out of our College Station, Texas office.

Oversee Fire Protection Systems installation for all types of new and existing projects. Projects will include Industrial, Commercial and some Residential. Can comprehend NFPA code, design/ installation methods, hydraulic calculations & material lists for fire sprinkler systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Understand design & Layout of Fire Sprinkler Systems
  • Hydraulic Calculations
  • Field Surveying
  • Understand listing of system piping for fabrication
  • Coordination for installation between trades
  • Managing cost and understanding budgets
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE /QUALIFICATIONS
  • NICET certification preferred but not required
  • General mechanical knowledge
  • Experience in Fire Protection Installation or Design
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstrated competency in verbal and written business communication skills.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with Company guidelines
  • Able to complete documentation and administrative duties as necessary; proficient in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee installation labor on assigned projects
TRAVEL
  • This position requires approximately 50% local travel.

Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
