Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to install all forms of fire sprinkler systems and components in Gainesville, FL. The role requires reading blueprints, installing piping, and coordinating with designers, project managers, and general contractors to ensure quality and code compliance.

Two years of Fire and Life Safety experience and active Sprinkler Apprentice involvement are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the Fire and Life Safety industry.
• Enrolled in Sprinkler Apprentice Program.
• Active pursuit of state required certifications.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to install piping.
• Install new, retrofit, and tenant-improvement projects.
• Cut, thread, and groove pipe to specs with appropriate tools.
• Coordinate with onsite contractors to resolve conflicts.
• Assist with job scheduling and progress with emphasis on quality.
• Modify designs to meet code compliance.
• Provide guidance to other field installers and helpers.
• Follow Sciens safety programs and procedures.
