SciensBuilding Solutions in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to install and retrofit NFPA-based sprinkler systems. You will read blueprints and coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate, safe installations.

The role requires hands-on piping skills, knowledge of NFPA 13, and the ability to work with diverse trades. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally are important, with a competitive salary and benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the Fire and Life Safety industry.
• Enrolled in and actively going through Sprinkler Apprentice Program.
• Working knowledge of wet, dry, and pre-action systems, as well as backflows and fire pumps.
• Intermediate understanding of NFPA 13 code requirements.
• Ability to read and install from fire system design drawings and documentation, including system zoning.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping.
• Install new, retrofit, and tenant improvement projects.
• Cut, thread, and groove pipe to specifications using tools.
• Coordinate with onsite contractors to resolve field conflicts.
• Assist with job scheduling and progress with quality focus.
• Modify designs to meet code compliance.
• Provide guidance to other field installers and helpers.
