Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician to service commercial, industrial, and residential sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems. The role requires reading blueprints and manuals, performing repairs, and providing excellent customer service while following safety guidelines.

Applicants should have at least 3 years in the fire sprinkler industry, be able to lift up to 50–70 lbs, and be willing to travel overnight.

Qualifications

• 3 years of documented experience in Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Must possess and retain a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls and determine equipment issues.
• Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems (wet/dry/deluge/pre-action).
• Follow troubleshooting procedures and refer to manuals for diagnosis.
• Read blueprints and specifications to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Maintain customer service and communicate with district staff and customers.
• Participate in on-call rotation and travel as needed.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain inventory for timely response.
