Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Estimator in Waco, TX to join our on-site team. You will analyze blueprints, prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for sprinkler systems while collaborating with engineers, architects, and contractors on bids.

With at least 2 years of experience in fire protection estimation, you will leverage Bluebeam and other estimating tools to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fire Sprinkler Estimator in the construction industry.
• Extensive knowledge of fire protection systems, including sprinklers, alarms, and extinguishing systems.
• Proficiency in using estimating software and tools, like Bluebeam, and ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems and their integration with fire protection systems.
• Excellent mathematical skills for performing accurate calculations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and contractors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of relevant fire safety codes, regulations, and standards.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, architectural drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for fire sprinkler systems.
• Conduct risk and cost analyses, and prepare bids for projects.
• Review data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors on estimates.
• Use advanced software tools like Bluebeam for drawing, calculations, and bid preparation.
• Provide consultation on fire safety and protection measures, including the selection of appropriate sprinkler systems.
• Evaluate and recommend changes that could improve the safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of fire sprinkler systems.
• Ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant codes, regulations, and standards for fire safety.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all estimates, bids, and consultations.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure expectations are met and projects are completed on time and within budget.
